Nairobi City County is one of the 47 counties of Kenya. The third smallest yet the most populous of the counties, it also serves as the capital city of the Republic of Kenya.
Nairobi County was founded in 2013 on the same boundaries as Nairobi Province, after Kenya's 8 provinces were sub-divided into 47 counties by the Constitution of Kenya. On 25 August 2022, Johnson Sakaja was sworn-in as the fourth Governor of Nairobi County.
