nairobi

Nairobi County has launched staff biometric cards identification that is set to revolutionize the management of human capital for the City Government.
Speaking at the launch, the Governor, HE Mike Sonko, said that the biometric cards are expected to help enhance staff productivity and accountability, and ensure that the staff are available at the service points and also tame the escalating menace of imposters and impersonators. “My Government has taken stock of the immense challenges facing an efficient, competent, timely, and cost effective service delivery and has taken conscious steps to solve the problems”, said the Governor, urging the County employees to redouble their efforts in serving Nairobi residents.
Governor Sonko said the registration exercise will end on 15th June, 2019 and urged employees to register. The biometric technology is spearheaded by the County Public Service Management Sector headed Mr. Leboo Ole Morintant who also doubles as the Ag. Deputy County Secretary. Governor Sonko was accompanied by the County Secretary and County Chief Officers among other County staff.
